CONDITIONS

We treat with Physiotherapy

There are many conditions that can benefit from physiotherapy. Explore the areas below and click on the one most relevant to you to find out more about how physiotherapy can help.

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is about helping you understand your pain or injury, improve how your body moves and get back to the activities that matter to you. It can help with a wide range of problems, from recent injuries and muscle or joint pain to persistent conditions, reduced mobility and difficulties returning to exercise or sport.

A physiotherapy assessment looks beyond where you feel pain. We consider your symptoms, movement, mobility, strength, physical capacity and lifestyle to build a clearer picture of what may be contributing to your problem. Understanding these factors allows us to develop a treatment approach that is specific to you, rather than simply treating the area that hurts.

Treatment can include hands-on therapy, education, mobility and movement work, and progressive exercise. Depending on your goals and presentation, physiotherapy may also involve strengthening, rehabilitation and gradually rebuilding your confidence in movement. The aim is not only to help you feel better, but to help you understand your body and give you the tools to manage your problem and reduce the risk of it limiting you again.

At Vigour Physiotherapy, we take the time to understand you as an individual. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing persistent pain, returning to sport or simply finding everyday movement more difficult, we combine thorough assessment, hands-on treatment and progressive exercise to create a plan around your needs and goals. Our aim is to help you move better, feel stronger and get back to doing what matters to you.
